Over 1 billion euro investment in gas storage infrastructure near Milan

Whysol investment, an Italian independent company, and Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Fund will develop a infrastructure project for gas storage in Lodi, Italy.

The project, that should be implemented by Saipem, is financed through a project financing  mechanism involving nine international banks (two are Italians, one is the coordinator, Banca IMI). The Agreement will be signed in the coming days and will involve an investment of one billion euro.

The project, called Ital Gas Storage, will use a former gas site, now empty, that will be filled with imported natural gas to ensure energy security and a more efficient energy market.
