Milan Fashion Week 2016 - Women's Fashion

From 24th to 29th February 2016 Milan will host Milano Fashion Week Women's Fashion. Organized by the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (Association of Fashion designers), in cooperation with Comune di Milano, Presidency of Council of Ministers and other associations, the Fashion Week will include 182 collections divided in 73 Fashion Show, 90 presentations, 9 private presentations and 13 events and will be occasions to present very well-known brands as well as new talented designers.

Among the events, the Institutional Lunch on the first day, that will be held in the “Sala della Cariatidi” in Milan Royal Palace, where Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi will attend and the Final event, the Presentation of a Memorandum of Undestanding on Fashion and Textiles Sustainability signed by the Camera Nazionale della Moda, Sistema Moda Italia, Federchimica (association of Chemical industries), Association of Textile Producers and other associations in order to ensure that Fashion and Sustainability go hand in hand.

The Fashion Sector is one of the most important in the Italian industry and was worth around 62 billion euro in 2015. The President of the “Camera Nazionale della Moda” expects the sector to rise by 2,5% in the first half of 2016 and expects also the exports will rise by the same percentage.
