An attempt to create the world’s longest pizza at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana

Pizzaovens.com and other sponsors attempted to break the world record for longest pizza on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, Ca. The pizza measured 7200 feet and wrapped around the speedway track. The current record is held by Napoli Pizza Village in Naples, Italy with a pizza measuring 6082 feet.
 
What goes into making a 7,200-foot-long pizza? Eight thousand pounds of dough, 5,600 pounds of sauce and 3,600 pounds of cheese.

The proceeds of the event – which included live music, food and entertainment – and the product went to local homeless shelters and food banks.

If the Speedway’s pizza is named the longest, it would beat a record of 6,082 feet, 3.4 inches set in May 2016 in Naples, Italy.
