First Italian Arab Business Forum kicks off in Milan

The first Italian Arab Business Forum kicked-off on Thursday at Turati Palace in Milan, with aims to boost the strong economic cooperation between both sides.
The forum, which organized by the Joint Italian Arab Chamber, and under the patronage of the Italian Foreign Ministry, has witnessed a strong presence of high officials.
The Italian Minister for Economic Development Carlo Calenda and Italian Foreign Minister Angelino Alfano, in addition to senior officials from the Arab states have attended previous incarnations.
Chairman of the Joint Arab Italian Chamber is Cesare Trevisani said that the forum is a strong business opportunity for the companies from both sides to discover and to get acquainted with each other's market to allow them to invest in it.
Trevisani added that the Arab states representatives would provide the assistance needed for the participants to explore the available investment opportunities in the Arab countries, in addition to enhance and strengthen the business relation with Italy. According to ANSA, the Italian news agency, one in five Italian companies sells in over seven Arab markets and one in four exports, while Arab countries account for 10 percent of turnover and trade in the first half of 2017 amounted to 25 billion euros.
